Photohunt : Party

As the election is coming on the 8th of March in Malaysia, different political PARTIES are now doing their best spreading their propagandas, hoping to do the very best they can to win more votes.

As you have known, Malaysia is a diverse countries with different races of population, the majority being Malay, Chinese and Indian. The picture shown is the party which wins the majority all these years, the National Front Coalition ( also known as Barisan Nasional in Malay) .

Other parties being the alternative front and the other parties of opposition, the strongest is DAP (Democratic Action Party).

Haha, will not comment here about who I will vote for, who I hope could have won, can't risk to be caught by the Security Act. Haha !!!

World's Thinnest Notebook now with Multi Touch Trackpads

Apple has beefed up its line of MacBook and MacBook Pros this morning with three new MacBooks and three new MacBook Pros. Most notably, the upgrade sees more powerful Intel Core 2 Duo processors and 802.11n wireless networking. Also MacBook Pros get the multi-touch trackpad first seen on the MacBook Air and 802.11n wireless networking.

The MacBook upgrades include a 2.1 GHz model with a 120GB hard drive and 1GB of memory for $1,099. A 2.4 GHz MacBook with 2GB of memory and a 160GB hard drive is available for $1,299. And finally, a black 2.4 GHz MacBook with 2GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive is available for $1,499.

Optional customization includes up to 4GB of memory and 250GB hard drive on all of the MacBooks.

For the line of MacBook Pros, a 15.4-inch widescreen, 2.4 GHz model with 2GB of memory and a 200GB hard drive is available for $1,999. A 15.4-inch widescreen with a 2.5 GHz processor, 2GB of memory and 250GB hard drive is available for $2,499 and a 17-inch 2.5 GHZ modem with 2GB of memory and a 250GB hard drive is available for $2,799.

The MacBook Pro line also includes the LED-backlit screen and keyboard not included in previous versions. Further customization options include up to a 2.6 GHz processor, 300GB hard drive and more.

For those looking to find something to complain about regarding this release, Apple is no longer including the Apple Remote free with its laptops.

These upgrades by Apple aren't mind-blowing, but its definitely nice to see a little speed boost, but even better to see the multi-touch trackpad to be included in Apple's MacBook Pro laptop selections.

Tip of the Day !! Speed up logon on Windows XP Pro

Some people like me is always stuck with slow logon to windows domain. Its takes me approximately 3-4 minutes. Here are some tips :

You may experience extremely long delays (up to 5 minutes) when logging into domains using Windows XP Pro. This is caused by the asyncronous loading of networking during the boot up process. This speeds up the login process in a stand-alone workstation by allowing the user to log in with cached logon credentials before the network is fully ready.

To disable this "feature" and restore your domain logons to their normal speed, open the MMC and add the group policy snap-in. Under Computer Configuration-->Administrative Templates-->System-->Logon, change "Always wait for the network at computer startup and logon" to ENABLED.

This can be fed to clients via a group policy from a Windows 2000 server by upgrading the standard policy template with the XP policy template. Since this is an XP only command, non-XP systems will ignore it in a domain distributed group policy.

Hope the tip helped^^
